Appreciate this is a super premature ask, but as with all large scale projects, the subject of funding needs to be discussed.
Initially I toyed with the idea of charging a flat fee for Lighthouse, but then it became obvious the project was becoming too big for me alone, hence the open source model, which is crucial for development of the HMRC apps.
Obviously I questioned whether people would buy the software? Initially, probably not, so ultimately it's OS, now and forever. I'd rather be known for creating something people like and businesses find value in using, opposed to providing paid software that no one will buy - hope you understand that logic.

We're not asking for anything now, let's see how successful Lighthouse becomes first.
