Unlike other software programs Lighthouse is a little different, the main source files are downloaded from your profile, and updates are handled through GitHub, ... why?
In short, Xampp, Lamp and Laravel error out when running Lighthouse - mostly because they run on older versions of PHP.
My Logic;
- You want to test before using it for your business,
- You don't want to install it online, and;
- You want something that's super simple to test, nothing difficult, just download, hit a button, and it's done.
For local PC installs, Lighthouse runs on my Super Simple Server software, that includes Apache, PHP 8.2.29, MySQL and phpMyAdmin, a full suite of programs that's designed specifically for Lighthouse.
The downloaded package has the includes/config.php and includes/functions.php, whereas the GitHub repository doesn't have these files.
Updates
At present there is no updating system, this will change over the coming weeks or months, as Lighthouse ends phase 2 of development.
